Warranty
American Optical offers a lifetime warranty on soldering points found to be defective due to a manufacturing fault.
This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, including lens scratches, damage, or breakage resulting from use or mishandling.
The warranty applies only to American Optical eyewear purchased from authorized retailers and is valid only for the original purchaser.
Proof of purchase (invoice) must be provided for any warranty claim or request for spare parts (nose pads or lenses).
Valid for any new product manufactured and sold as of September 1, 2020.
Beware of Unauthorized Retailers
Unauthorized websites and retailers may sell counterfeit or pre-owned eyewear and cannot guarantee the quality for which AO is known. Therefore, eyewear purchased from unauthorized retailers (including on “marketplaces”) is not eligible for American Optical’s warranty.
A significant number of websites, marketplaces, and unreliable sellers mislead customers seeking to purchase American Optical products. They often falsely claim legitimacy and use the AO logo without authorization. Whenever possible, American Optical takes action against such sites and sellers, but we strongly advise you to remain vigilant and ensure that you only purchase from official, authorized American Optical retailers.
